Donations

Dear Potential Donor,

CTX Athletic Association was founded by Tim Farley and Marvin Harris and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on October 25, 2012 for the purposes of providing mentorship, developing life skills, promoting academics and community service, and preparing STUDENT-ATHLETES for college with opportunities for scholarships. The activities of CTX Athletic Association revolve around three programs: academics, community service, and basketball. These three programs are the pillars that enable the organization to achieve its purpose and objectives.

Our basketball program, Texas Hardwood Prospects Elite Basketball (THP Elite), expose our STUDENT- ATHLETES to competition at the highest level through AAU sanctioned events, NCAA certified tournaments, and elite level basketball camps throughout the United States. Our academic program assists our STUDENT-ATHLETES in becoming academically eligible for college admission by providing them opportunities for tutoring; testing preparation for ACT/SAT and the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), and counseling to meet NCAA academic standards. Our community service program encourages our STUDENT-ATHLETES to become socially sound young men who possess strong interpersonal skills to boost their self-confidence and help them become active members of the community through their selfless service endeavors. Our goal is to help our STUDENT-ATHLETES grow into poised young men and obtain opportunities to play basketball at the collegiate level as well as obtain a quality post-secondary education.

We have teams at the high school middle school levels for a total of approximately 40 STUDENT-ATHLETES from Austin and the surrounding area. Estimated registration fee is roughly $2,000 and includes uniforms, tournament fees, practice gym fees, insurance, player development programs, as well as travel and lodging for each player. All of our teams will play in at least 10 tournaments, culminating with the final tournament in Las Vegas during the last NCAA live evaluation recruiting period where our STUDENT-ATHLETES will play in front of the top NCAA Division I head coaches in the country. Unfortunately, some of our STUDENT-ATHLETES do not have the financial means to pay their registration fee or the added cost of travel, lodging, and meal expenses they are also responsible for.

We humbly ask for your support by making a donation to our organization. Contributions made to the organization offset the financial obligations we incur to support our STUDENT-ATHLETES who do not have the means to pay their registration. Your donation also supports our activities and has a direct impact on the future of these young men as they pursue college opportunities. Checks can be made payable to CTX Athletic Association and mailed to 151 Pomegranate Cove, Kyle, TX 78640. Your generosity will provide opportunities for these young men that they may not otherwise have. As an organization exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, your contributions to CTX Athletic Association are deductible for federal income tax purposes (additional tax information available upon request).

Please contact us with any questions you may have and for additional information regarding our organization & On behalf of CTX Athletic Association and our members, thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

CTX Athletic Association Board
