CTX Athletic Association centers itself around three programs: basketball, academics, and community service.
These three programs are the pillars that enable the organization to achieve its purpose and objectives.
The mission of the basketball program (Texas Hardwood Prospects Elite Basketball or THP Elite) is to provide young men opportunities to obtain college scholarships and play basketball at the collegiate level by exposing them to the highest level of competition through AAU sanctioned events, NCAA certified tournaments, and elite level basketball camps throughout the United States. Through the use of sound basketball principles, intense competition, and development of valuable life skills, the expectation is for our players to develop into poised STUDENT-ATHLETES.
The mission of the academic program is to assist our players to be academically eligible for admission into a college by providing tutoring; testing preparation for ACT/SAT and the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR); and counseling to meet NCAA academic standards.
The mission of the community service program is to help our players learn social and interpersonal skills, increase self-confidence and selfless service, and develop life skills by requiring them to conduct a specific number of hours of community service.
